This page is nothing more than excuse than to salute the jockey with the best record over the National fences. Not bad for a part time rider who in his spare time set up a chain of successful dental practices both in the UK and Europe. 

To Mr Sam Waley-Cohen who's record over the National fences was nothing short of remarkable.

Sam Waley Cohen - Career Details

Born : 15th April 1982

Rode his first point-to-point winner on Wishing William at Mollington on 30 January 2002. He would ride 101 more.

Rode his first winner under the rules of racing on Moscow Dancer, trained by Peter Monteith, in an amateur riders’ handicap hurdle on Kelso on 1 December 2003.

Rode 75 winners from 485 rides under rules in the UK between 2000 - 2022.

Best season  2018-19 - 10 wins from 32 rides

Rode 1 winner from 5 rides on the flat

Rode 11 times in Ireland and 15 times in France winning a chase at Auteuil in November 2009

Also rode in the 2013 Velka Pardubicka in the Czech Republic
